Why people choose Orihuela Costa

Orihuela Costa is a popular place both for a holiday home and for moving to Spain for good. Four of the area’s best golf courses are here: Villamartín, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Las Colinas (see our golf guide). If golf isn’t for you, the beaches will keep you busy: sandy coves and bays run from Playa Flamenca through La Zenia and the lovely bay of Cabo Roig to Campoamor.

Everyday life

La Zenia Boulevard, one of the largest shopping centres on the Costa Blanca, means there is rarely a need to go far for anything. It also offers a wide choice of restaurants, from tapas to steaks. The original plaza in the heart of Villamartín is still a favourite for eating out, and the La Fuente centre, just outside the gates of Campoamor and Las Ramblas golf, has bars with live music on summer evenings. It’s also where you’ll find our office.

The AP-7 motorway has exits at La Zenia and Campoamor, and both Alicante and Murcia airports are less than an hour away.

Climate

The climate is one of the main reasons people buy here. Even in winter, daytime temperatures often reach 20 °C. The salt lakes of Torrevieja nearby give the area a notably healthy air, and many people find that aches and pains ease in the dry, mild climate.
